Quarantine, A New Perspective on the World

During quarantine, I have learned many things about myself. I have found out that I enjoy making puzzles, painting, and cooking. I believe that I have also grown closer to God during this time. I have started reading my Bible and making time for Him when I used to never pick up my Bible. I would simply just pray right before I went to bed. I try everyday to pickout a passage to reflect on, or paint a bible verse on a canvas and reflect on the daily reminders. Isaiah 26:20 says, Go, my people, enter your rooms and shut the doors behind you; hide yourselves for a little while until his wrath has passed by. I think this verse kind of implies that we need to go somewhere and just have some quiet time. We need to get rid of distractions and find some time to have with our Savior, and quarantine has given us the perfect opportunity. I have also learned many things about the world. 1 Timothy 6:7-8 says, For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. Quarantine has given me the opportunity to realize that we don’t need everything in the world, even though it seems like that for some people. We always want to be out doing something, whether it’s shopping, going to the movies, bowling, or going to get our nails done. The only things we need in the world is food, clothing, and God. All of the other things we do in life are things we are fortunate to do, and I think many people around the world have realized they took it all for granted. I have also learned the world is impatient. Many people want to get out and do things, and I have seen many people hanging out together. I think we all need to work on our patience and let this pandemic pass. I don’t think the world will ever be the same again. We are living through a big moment of history. Our lives have changed at least for a little while. This virus is just a sign from God. I believe that we just need to have patience and faith from God that this will be over soon. He has a perfect plan, and His timing is always right. Mark 4:40 says, And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith? Many people have no faith and think the world is ending soon. The only thing we can do is believe and have trust in God that this will all pass.
