There are many different roles that people play in the world to help shape what it is. I have never really thought about a role I wanted to play or goals I might have for myself to help shape the world. I guess I have always strived to be as perfect as I can be and be like Jesus. Jesus forgives and loves everyone. 1 Peter 2:21 says, For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps. We are called to be like Jesus and follow him. If we are true followers as Jesus, I would think that more people would strive to be like Him. I strive to be like Jesus so that people can look at me and see maybe even a small piece of who He is. I believe that it is a part of my goal. I am trying to be like Jesus the best I can so that people will see a glimpse of him and change even a little part of who they are. I want the world to be full of peace. As followers, we are called to share the Gospel. I try my best to share the gospel to non believers. One of my best friends doesn’t really believe and never attends church. Every week I invite them to come to church with me so that they may see a glimpse of Jesus and who He is. My goal is to get my friends who don’t believe, to believe and to attend church just once a week on a regular basis.
When I think about what Jesus and what he wants the world to look like, I think of the words peace and clean. John 16:33 says “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” Jesus wants us to find peace in him. He has given us peace and I think the world needs to value it. People are destroying the world in many different ways. The world is very chaotic and I think people just need to look to God to find peace and comfort and even love.
My greatest spiritual gifts according to a test I took is prophecy. I don’t really see myself as a prophet and as someone who talks about the Gospel of Jesus much. I try as much I as I can to share about Jesus. I think that is my biggest goal in the next coming years. I want to fulfill God’s plan for me and be more like a prophet. Another one of my spiritual gifts is serving. I love to serve the community anyway that I can. I love to go to Must Ministries and help out anyway I can there. I believe by serving others throughout our community share God’s light. He has called us to serve and be lights. By serving, we are being a small light to the people around us.
